Guidelines:
You can pitch the following: An original idea, concept for a screenplay or series, completed screenplay, film idea, no adapations
How does it work? You will be given a set time to check-in at the Maury Boardroom, a Focus team member will grant entry into the boardroom, where you will sit or stand at a conference table and present your pitch. Please adhere to following guidelines:
You must have absolute rights to the project presented
Multiple individuals may present during a single project's pitch. Each presenter must have a valid conference ticket. The $50 add-on fee is per project, not per person
Each Project Pitch session is 10 minutes in length. We recommend preparing a short pitch and use the remainder of your session for feedback and conversation
We anticipate there will be anywhere between 3 to 6 producers and studio representatives in the room during the pitch session
As part of your session, you may present from a self-provided laptop computer; however, we recommend having the first ten pages of your script, treatment, synopses, or visuals printed and available for any of the panel who may be interested. Please ensure your contact information is present on your pitch materials.
Only one project is allowed during each pitch session
We will take every precaution necessary, prior to the conference, to ensure confidentiality between the pitched project and those in the room
To register, answer 'Yes' to the Project Pitch question on the Focus Conference registration form and a Focus team member will follow up to confirm participation and provide your pitch time. Due to limited availability, answering 'Yes' to the Project Pitch question on the registration form is not a guarantee of participation. Participation is on first come, first serve basis. Once all slots are filled, a waitlist will be established
Price: $50 add-on with purchase of conference ticket. Payment is not due until check-in on July 17, 2026
