A NEW SPIN ON AN OLD FAVORITE.
Guidelines:
Each actor will slate their name and monologue title/project (for example, "Hello, my name is John Smith. I am performing a scene from Jurassic Park. Thank you", then perform a 1-minute monologue/scene
The monologue must be from an existing television show, film or play/musical
Each actor will line-up at their designated time outside of the Riverside Ballroom and check-in with the Focus team member
Each actor will be mic'ed prior to their name being called on stage
Actors will perform in front of a panel of industry judges and all Focus attendees. After each performance, one judge will provide live feedback. The other judges will complete a feedback form that will be available at the end of the conference
A timer will be present and will raise their hand at the end of the actor's 1-minute timeframe. Please practice, in advance, with a timer
Please keep your scene selection G-rated, due to the presence of minors in the audience
The awards ceremony will occur at the end of day 2 (July 18, 2026). Actors must present at the awards ceremony to win
Awards presented: Focus Male Actor of the Year, Focus Female Actor of the Year, Focus Youth Actor of the Year, Overall Focus Actor of the Year
Winners will receive a trophy and a consultation with BoldLine Entertainment
Awards are based upon judge's scores and decisions. All judge's decisions are final
To register, answer 'Yes' to the Talent Showcase question on the Focus Conference registration form and a Focus team member will follow up to confirm participation and provide your performance time. Due to limited availability, answering 'Yes' to the Talent Showcase question on the registration form is not a guarantee of participation. Participation is on first come, first serve basis. Once all slots are filled, a waitlist will be established
Once registration is confirmed, actors will receive their performance number and a request for a headshot that will be provided to the judges
Price: $50 add-on with purchase of conference ticket. Payment is not due until check-in on July 17, 2026
